Week without Twitter – Day 4
Day 4 was actually pretty easy to manage without twitter. I went to Saskatoon to hear Sir Ken Robinson discussing passion, creativity and education.
Not only did I get to hear Sir Ken, I also had the chance to visit some friends, including my EdTech Posse colleagues. Dean, Rick and Heather were there, and we recorded a podcast (to be released soon) while we were sitting in the balcony of convocation hall at the University of Saskatchewan. Sadly, Alec could not join us.
Dean and I met up after the presentation at the Broadway Roastery. We had a quick chat/debriefing on our thoughts from the evening (also included in the podcast), then I was on my way back home. On a busy and interesting day, Twitter didn’t even cross my mind (except when I talked about it in the podcast).
Your thoughtful responses
Me tweeting
- My grade 9 students are learning/practicing photographic composition. See their work at http://t.co/c2lkNTDv
- @shareski I think you owe him for all the pictures of his kids you put in them.
- @shareski I thought design mattered.
- @cptteacher Thanks for your comments back to the students. They will be happily surprised to be getting comments from outside school.
- @pstratton08 Exactly my thoughts. And I think that knowing your work is going to be on display encourages students to find good photos.
