Claire, I absolutely intend to share my experience with the project. We are 3 days into the project and I've already learned a lot (meaning I made some mistakes).

Yes, I will be having students come back up into other Kingdoms and Divisions as part of their research.

What a great approach! It turns the way most biology teachers have been teaching on its head. I hope that you blog about how this project works out. I’m also interested in how far you would extend this approach–will you go beyond Kingdom Animalia to Fungi etc?
