Data lost and lesson learned

Thanks to my ungracious ex-webhosting company, Rick Schwier’s blog, Rick’s Cafe Canadien has been down for about a week, and all the data on the site was lost! I am grateful that an earlier backup from a couple of month’s ago was available, so the loss was not complete. The Google cache was also a big help in finding a couple of lost entries.

But I have learned my lesson – backup up your data!. If you care to, you can read my account of the web hosting company that screwed me over!
